Sacre bleu!
Broadcasts of last night's Olympic Opening Ceremony in London included commentary in both French and English. And the French-speaking parts came first. (Such is tradition — a Frenchman, Baron Pierre de Coubertin, founded the Modern Olympic Games; the language remains an official tongue of the International Olympic Committee... alongside English.) To hardy and/or easily offended Brits, this was like being slapped around the face by a large, wet pair of frog's legs: unacceptable.
