Today was Rafalca's big moment: The Individual Dressage (or “horse ballet”) competition.
Jan Ebeling rode the Ann Romney co-owned Rafalca to a score of 70.243%. After 19 riders that has Ebeling/Rafalca in 9th place in the Individual Dressage competition. Currently sitting atop the leaderboard is Britain's Carl Hester. It's worth noting that Hester happens to be one of 21 openly gay athletes competing in these Olympics, and one of only three men.
