The restaurant announced a voluntary recall of the toys, citing safety concerns over “reports of children getting their fingers stuck in the holes of the puppets.” The recall is dated one day prior to The Jim Henson Company's decision to part ways with Chick-Fil-A due to the chain's stance against same sex marriage.
While concern over a child's safety should never be questioned, the timing of recall is extremely coincidental and appears to be a lazy attempt to strike back at The Jim Henson Company.
